(( I wasn't sure where to put this and I know these types of RPs don't last very long but still...Anyways standerd rules and if a character uses a ton of alchemy at once there must be a loss of strength, ect. Oh and Ed,Al, and other military charries can be taken control of by anyone but please remember to stay in character and ask everyone before you do something big with a military person. made-up students ages may range from 13 to 17))
A white marble building blazed in the glaring sunlight that had chased all of the clouds from the sky and driven off any breeze. Outside the ominous metal gate a short girl stood, anxiously wringing her hands and a thin trickle of blood on her chin, that she didn't seem to notice, showed that she was biting her lip. She took a ragged breath, self-consiously checked her braid of carmel brown hair that fell to her waist, and reached out to push open the gate. The gate was stubborn, however and resloutly stayed shut. Her teeth gritted in determination, all shyness momintarily forgotten, she turned side ways and heaved her full body against the scorching hot metal. Or, at least, that's what she planned to do. As it turned out, a young man, with golden hair in a braid and honey oolored eyes that were narrowed in curiosity, had been trying to escape from the school and just happened to be leaving through the main gate. He wasn't one to go out of his way to help someone else. "d**n it!" the girl, now sprawled out on the ground, cried out of sheer frustration and embarassment. As soon as she relized what she'd said, though, face burned with such heat that, she was sure, only the sun matched. The teenager who'd tried to assist her was now offering a hand to help her up. The girl accepted the hand, eyes down cast and her face still crimson with embarassment. She suddenly relized that, although she was deemed short the boy who'd helped her up was an inch shorter then her! "T-thanks." she mumbled, blinking furiously to keep tears of humiliation at bay. "You're welcome. My name's Edward Elric, and you're stepping on my foot." The girl gave a squeak and immediatly stepped down. "S-s-sorry, Edward-sama*." She stuttered, and glaced up anxiously at his face only to see quite amusement. "I suppose you're new here,eh? They always lock that gate with alchemy. They transmuted the bottom of the gate into stone." Edward gestured to the gate. "Oh. Yeah...M-my name is Isabella, b-b-but I like to be called Bella." Edward scowled suddenly, "Will you PLEASE stop being so d**n nervous? I don't bite." Without another word Ed turned around sharply and briskly walked to the school while calling behind him, " Hurry it up! I'll show you to your first class!"
Five minutes later Bella sat in a crowded classroom decorated with green tapastries with the golden symbol of the military. Bella's light brown eyes flickered around nervously, trying to find a friendly face amoung the students, who were chattering as the teacher, Riza Hawkeye, as was written on the chalkboard, drew and labled a variety of firearms on the chalkboard that took up an entire wall of the classroom. ((*sama is high term of respect, literally means 'my lord'. I know this isn't nearly my best but I'm rusty...I have added a few sentences here amd there and included Edward's discrption..something I compleatly forgot yesterday >.< ))

A girl sat in the back with extremely short black hair that hugged her earlobes and, with the help of a bottle of gel, stuck out in orderly spikes. She had deep blue eyes that gazed out at the world with hidden pain. When she looked up for inspiration for her 'not-so-flattering' drawing of Hawkeye she spotted a new, tense face, amongst her relaxed peers. She slouched over silently, slammed her hand down on the desk, and threw out a rough, "You new here? My name's Kairi.”
Just then there was a gunshot, signaling that class was about to begin. Kairi slunk back to her desk with a sour face and flopped down in her chair mutinously.((sorry for not writing much, I've got writers block))

Sitting next to the only empty desk was a girl, about 15 years old. She leaned back into the chair, half in the process of cleaning a pair of glasses that were clearly hers. She replaced them on her face, and they only seemed to add to the sharp critical glance of her deep brown eyes, eyes that seemed to peer into ones soul. And it just so happened, her eyes were focused on Bella, she brushed her brown and golden hair from her gaze. A funny smile spread across her face and she pointed her thumb to the empty seat and mouthed the words 'you might wanna sit down before Riza sees'

When the gunshot thundered in the classroom Isabella, who was still getting over the small start caused by the girl who had just introduced herself, and she couldn't keep back the shriek of terror that sounded above the gunshot, surprisingly. When the people nearest to her turned to gawk at her she was huddled over, trembleing, with her hands over her ears. Slowly she look up, meeting the brown eyes of the 15 year old girl. Quickly she scurried over, cheeks burning with embarassment, in her haste she tripped twice. Snickers and quite jeers came from most students, causing Riza to shoot her gun again. "What is wrong with you guys today?" Her tone was oddly calm but the students immediatly stoped murmering and the only sound was the scrape of Bella's pants on the seat. Tears trickled down the thirteen-year-old's face, and she studied the swirling patterns of black that spider-webbed avross the wood of her desktop.

'Quite an odd one... a transfer so late in the year?' She thought to herself as she tried to pay attention to Riza's lessons but her mind strayed and soon she slipped her hand into her pocket and silently offered the new girl her hankerchif while Riza was once more writing on the chalkboard. On the hanky were the intials, AL, the first letters of her first and last name.

Isabella was struggling not to start sobbing and hiccuping and when she felt the gentle material of the hankerchif, sheflashed her neighbor a grateful glance as she delicatly took the hanky and dabbed her streaming eyes and, just as inconspiculously as the older girl, she handed back the hankerchif.
An hour later, without any bell to signal it, the class rose as one, except for Isabella, and shuffled out the doorway. Her head spinning with all the information that had been crammed into that long hour, Bella followed. As she tried to gather up her jumled thoughts and navigate the hallway at the same time, Edward came up behind her and asked her where her next class was. Bella whirled around and instinctivly flinched back from the boy beside her before she reconized him. "Uh oh, its you!" Releif was apparent in her voice as she continued, " Uhm.. do you know where the gymnasium is?" her thounge stumbled over the word as if it were a stone and her facce took on a crimson shade again. " Oh the Gym, sure! It's what I teach!" Bella felt her jaw fall down slightly in amazment, "Y-y-you're a teacher?!" she knew is was extreamly rude but she could not stop gaping at the boy. "Yeah so? You don't know who I am?" Isabella's puzzled eyes were enough of an answer for Ed," I'm a State Alchemist. The Full Metal Alchemist, actually." Bella's face seemed frozen in shock and she didn't speak untill they were outside the gigantic doors that lead to the Gym.
Bella was so surprised by the size of the gym her heart literally skipped a beat. A tiny group of 11 students waited immpationatly at the opposite end of the stone room. That was another odd feature of the gym. While the rest of the building was concrete this room was stone, which can be transmuted easier then concrete. Amoung the small class Bella was glad she reconized two facces from her class about firearms.
"Alright, settle down!" Edward yelled over the buzz of voices as he stepped onto a platform so he would be a tall as his students. "Today you are each going to go up in a match against me! Also, we've got a new student, her name is Bella and one or two of you need to explain to her the rules of the Gym and sparring matches."

Alicia, the girl raised her hand, with a sly grin on her face, "No short jokes," she said looking at Ed directly, "especially to the teacher"
Ed gave a slight fidget, to the rule, but didn't object, "Thats right Alicia," he replied tersly making it clear the subject had come up before.

Edward, relizing that if he didn't stop Alicia the jokes would start flowing and poor Bella wouldn't know what to do. Or, at least, that's what he told himself as he called out the remaining rules, "No leaving the gym, no transmuting the stair steps, and you can stop at any time by simply saying 'stop'. Now go line up on the side of gym by the stairs." he lept lithely from the platform and strode into the middle of the arena. "Who is the first victim, eh? C'mon, I don't want to have to choose!" Edward eyed his students with absolute confidence, sure he would win any fight.
Bella was oddly calm as she commited the rules to memory. This BOY was thingyy, and when he lept off the platform, Bella had noticed that he'd landed on his left leg with more force then normal. "Edward-sensei, I'll fight you first." Isabella's light brown eyes held no fear as she matched Edward gaze for gaze as she stepped into the middle of the gigantic room. Butterflies fluttered lightly in her stomache, but nervousness was always good, it hightens the senses, Bella knew. "A-alright." Edward chuckled, surprised by Bella's boldness, but he didn't bother to noticed the glint of determination in Bella's eyes. "On my count." Edward shifted his body into a slightly crouched position, not bothering to tense up as he thought the fight was almost won. "Ready? Three, two, one!"
Bella seemed to vanish as soon as the word 'one' left her opponent's lips. A shocked silence fell upon the students before shocked voices rose in questions. Edward whipped around this way and that, trying to find the girl. "BELLA!" he roared, not sure if this was alchemy or not. "What happened to all the confidence from before?" Bella's gentel voice came from right behind Edward and a light tug on his braid quickly followed the voice. Edward slapped his hands together, a sound that echoed above the voices of the teenagers, still muttering in bewilderment. The blue forks of light that was alchemy shot up Edwards auto-mail arm to transmute a dull blade that he cut the air behind him with. A soft chuckle filled the now silent room, "Too slow." Edward cried out in surprise as a kick caught him behind the kneecap and he fell to his knees. Bella's small arm wrapped around Edward's neck in a chokehold. Edward cursed himself for not noticing the hard mucles in her skinny frame. "I-I give up! Leggo!" Edward stuggled out as Bella slowly tightned her grip. She quickly released her hold and stepped back, grinning. "What kind of alchemy was THAT?!" Edward demanded, rubbing his neck irritably. "An alchemist never reveals her secerts." Bella's voice rang with mockery. "What happened to the meek girl from this morning?" Edward mumbled. "Oh she's still here, I just don't hold back on the field." Bella shrugged carelessly as she returned to her spot in line in between Alicia and Kairi.
"Well who wants to fight next?" Edward demanded with less heart then before.l

Kairi watched with simple curiosity as the fight went on and when she saw that Ed was giving up she let out a small squeak of surprise. As the teacher asked for the next challenger, she slipped quietly forward, knowing that all eyes were drawn to her stranger-than-normal reaction. "I'll fight you next." she said bluntly, her eyes emotionless. “Umm… all right then.” Ed said uncertainly, after his humiliating defeat he didn’t feel as confident as before and now he had to fight another person whose powers were unknown. Kairi had always slipped away during gym so he had never seen her fight and after what had just happened he was a bit nervous, but just a bit. Kairi seem to slide across the floor towards him and as he said ‘Three, Two, One,’ she swung her right foot directly at his legs and nearly hit him too, but he jumped at the very last second. She threw a punch at him with her left hand as he was in the air and caught him in the stomach, but he grabbed and twisted her arm so that he was now behind her. She threw a back leg swing behind her and as he dodged it she pulled her wrist free. “Why aren’t you using your alchemy? You won’t be able to defeat me in physical combat alone.” he said. Kairi was moving faster than he thought she could, only a few of the students there had seen her in action and that’s when they themselves had been fighting with her. But it was only now that they noticed how much muscle she really had. She was throwing everything she had at Ed, but he was just too fast… and small. And then an idea struck her, he was on the defensive right? Why not see what he could do on offensive? “You’re so small! I can barely hit you!” she panted, knowing that there were dire consequences for her words. Everybody gasped; no one had ever DARED to say that about him, at least, not to his face. Ed’s face contorted in fury, “WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?” he yelled. Kairi knew she was going to lose after this, but she would do her best to wear him down. He suddenly hooked her in the stomach, sending her flying a few feet backwards and she toppled to the ground. He pulled her up by the collar of her black jacket and was about to hit her when she slipped easily out of the bottom and punched with all her might into his stomach. He gasped and stumbled backwards a couple of steps from the sheer power of it, but she wasn’t done, oh no, she had more in store for the little man. She clapped her hands and thrust her palms in the air and Ed was thrust backwards by a strong wind that came out of nowhere. Ed’s surprised didn’t affect his wits and he quickly recovered. He ran up to her, slipped between and under her legs, turned around, and got her in a head lock. “I give.” she gasped through clenched teeth. “Say sorry!” he yelled. She struggled for a few moments; her face set with determination, but finally said, with a grudge, “I’m sorry for calling you short.” He released her. Kairi, at her own pace, stood up and grabbed her jacket and threw it over her shoulder. As she was walking back to the line she had a devilish smirk on her face.
“Alright, who’s next?” Ed said, gaining his confidence back after his win.
